2008 Continuing Education Meetings

KREIA is a KBHI Approved Continuing Education Provider
 Certificate Number KBHI-CE-1005

When you plan your education for 2008 make sure the hours that are approved by the KBHI will meet the 2008 license renewal requirements.  All 2008-license renewals require a minimum of 14 approved hours of continuing education consisting of the core courses:

  *  3 hours of Manufactured Housing,
  *  3 hours of Law
  *  6 hours of Standards of Practice and
  *  2 hours of any approved course as an elective.

All KREIA continuing education is designed specifically to meet the Kentucky licensing requirements. KREIA education also satisfies the major national home inspector organizations membership requirements.  However not all of the national home inspector courses approved by the KBHI will apply to our license renewal. So plan you education carefully.

KREIA is offering different ways to meet Kentucky's continuing education requirements. For the first time we can get our education either by attending KREIA Bi-Monthly Saturday sessions or by attending KREIA 2 or 3 day conferences.

The Saturday Bi-monthly meetings are held around Kentucky. At each meeting KREIA offers a KBHI accredited course that will apply to our continuing education renewal needs.  The Saturday classes will help the part time inspector meeting their requirements without having to take vacation from their full time job.

The 2 day seminars provide a compact way for meeting our KBHI continuing education requirements while comparing war stories with fellow Kentucky home inspectors.

The 3 day conferences are designed to not only provide KBHI continuing education requirements but also bring in experts to provide non-accredited business related education. The 3 day conferences are financed in part by venders who bring their wares so we can see the latest tools and toys.

If you attend all 41 hours of education between October 2007 and October 2008, you would not sit in the same class. We mix up the classes and presenters to keep the material interesting and relevant.
